This online memorial is dedicated to the 86 known airmen who lost their lives during World War II, who were former pupils of Stowe School. This memorial is part of The Aircrew Remembrance Society, Buckinghamshire Aviation Memorial Collection, with details of their loss, service and burial location, researched and presented here in alphabetical order. It also represents a minute fraction of the society’s achieve collection preserved and collected over five decades. It is our hope that these thousands of records, photos, documents and artefacts could eventually be displayed at a permanent location for public viewing, Education and Historical reference, and Remembrance.
The Society is currently working on plans to felicitate this requirement in connection with its “Save the Finmere Control Tower” Project, to include a Buckinghamshire Aviation Heritage learning centre, Peoples Buckinghamshire Memorial Tower and garden. Sponsorship and support of all kinds is needed and is currently being sort.

This section is currently under construction in support of our memorial tower project, one of a number of sections relating to Buckinghamshire Aviation activity being produced from our archives. Any contributions to its content would be most welcome, while we are currently building these pages and updating them weekly from our records.

Please contact us if you can assist with any photos, documents or details Here these can also be attached through this facility. Any copies you are kind enough to share with us would of course be credit to you when reproduced on this site.
